Jessica offers educational training and experiential workshops that are uniquely tailored for each group. Delivery of workshops may be offered in person, on the land, or virtually. Trauma-informed Community Wellness

A transformative 1-day educational workshop focused on trauma-informed learning and wellness approaches. This session will provide an overview of essential trauma theories and facilitation approaches to create safe(r) spaces for healing. Participants will learn about nervous system education and its importance in self-regulation and co-regulation within groups. The workshop will also incorporate practical embodied practices and ancestral wisdom, fostering resilience and community connection. By the end of the day, attendees will leave equipped with valuable tools and strategies to promote holistic wellness and deepen their understanding of trauma's impact on individuals and communities.

Embodiment, Ceremony, & the Land

A 4-week series that explores the intersection of embodiment, ceremony, and our connection to the land. Through engaging discussions, reflective writing prompts, and embodied practices, participants will delve into individual and shared ceremonies. We will uncover the parallels between Yoga and other contemplative practices and Indigenous ways of being, fostering an appreciation for how these practices can be rooted in land-spirit-based science. This series invites you to deepen your understanding of cultural connection and communal healing, nurturing a holistic approach to wellness in harmony with the land and each other.

A̱’ekilala x̱us Noḵe’ (Take care of your mind/heart)

An immersive 1-day experience for participants to connect in community and on the land to share and practice embodiment practices, drawing on Kwakwaka'wakw and trauma-healing strategies for balance and wellness. A safe and culturally grounded space is offered. Participants will engage in various activities, carefully curated to nurture personal and communal well-being, including:

  • Nervous system education

  • Guided meditation

  • Gentle movement

  • Breathwork

  • Sound healing

  • Forest walk

  • Journaling
